I’m Riguar, an Australian artist and designer from Byron Bay, who’s been creating for over 20 years.
I love art. It’s a beautiful place to express ideas, where curiosity shows up, and where I get to play with humour, meaning, and observation. Over the years, my style and mediums have changed, but the reason I create hasn’t. I like making things that spark an emotion, feel familiar, or quietly say something worth noticing.
I’m especially love humour. The kind that lightens the mood, brings people closer, and reminds us not to take everything so seriously. If something I’ve made makes you smile, laugh, or pause for a moment, then that’s a win, I reckon.
So let’s keep it light…
Let’s not take ourselves too seriously…

A Force for Good
Creativity can do more than just look nice.
For me, being a force for good means using art to support things that matter, like protecting our planet and its animals, helping others where we can, and encouraging kindness and understanding.
It also means seeing ourselves as one human family, beyond borders, labels, or categories. Respecting people’s choices, abilities, identities, and lived experiences feels like a pretty good place to start.
Art doesn’t need to preach to point us in a better direction. Sometimes it just needs to nudge us there.
What I Create
My work is inspired by places that stay with you, moments that mean something, humour that brings people together, and ideas that lean toward something worthwhile.
Some designs are playful.
Some are thoughtful.
Some are quietly uplifting.
All of them are created with the same intention… to put something positive out into the world.
Something you can wear, display, share, or simply enjoy as part of everyday life.
Why I Do This
I don’t think art needs to be loud to matter.
If something I create brightens a day, sparks a conversation, or makes the world feel just a little more connected, then it’s doing what it’s meant to do.
This studio is my way of contributing… one idea, one design, one smile at a time.
